As you can see, it is almost three out of four jobs in the healthcare field that require a certification, for those with less than a Bachelor’s degree. These can include certifications for roles at the assistant level to doctors and nurses, technicians who provide basic screenings, support staff for all areas of the hospital and clinics, dietary aides, billing and coding positions, physical therapy assistants, and even for hygienists. The healthcare industry is both vast and growing, so gaining one or more certifications right away can help you with the longer-term trajectory of your career.
