A Salem-area tenth grader is showing how virtual education can support high-level athletics and academics. Aroha Lousich balances four hours of daily swim training with strong grades and STEM interests through Cascade Virtual Academy. After turning to online learning during the pandemic, she found the flexibility and support needed to thrive, placing top-10 at district swim competitions as a freshman.
