In an effort to get high schoolers interested in the health care industry and nursing, Stride Inc. is hosting its first-ever exploratory nursing camp. The camp is a four-day interactive camp showing more than forty students what it's like to be a nurse.
Students will learn about patient safety, diversity in the workplace, nursing specialties, and get hands on experience with clinical simulation technology so that students can get a real world understanding of common situations.
Hospitals are desperate for nurses nationwide, and as many health care systems struggle to secure highly trained nurses to care for their patients, students preparing to enter the workforce are seeking out programs that can get them placed in a job quickly.
