Phillip, a 16-year-old student at Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville, is a trailblazer in special abilities taekwondo. Diagnosed with autism, he began martial arts as therapy and is now a three-time state champion and black belt holder. Phillip’s dedication has earned him top ranks in competitions across Texas and beyond. With support from his online school and the ATA Martial Arts community, Phillip is part of the first no-contact taekwondo team heading to the Special Olympics.
