COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Some may think not learning in-person means students have to miss out on some milestones but that wasn't the case for juniors and seniors at the Ohio Virtual Academy.
OHVA is Ohio’s largest online public school for students in grades K-12.
They held their prom Friday night at the Crowne Plaza Columbus North.
Being an online school, many of the students are meeting for the first time!
"It's a really great experience to see them for the first time after talking online for so long," said one student.
"I'm super excited! I think it's really great when all of these students come together because there's so many of us and we don't really get to hang out in person a lot so it's a really great event to meet everyone at once," another student said.
The theme was 'royal masquerade ball' and students dressed to the nines while donning masks.
