The holidays are a great time to get to work and sell your handmade goods. Here are five marketplace options to help you get started.

For anyone crafty, the holidays are a great time to get to work and sell your handmade goods. With everyone on the lookout for unique gifts, you're sure to make a few sales during the winter months. If you're looking for places to sell, online marketplaces are a perfect place to find motivated buyers. Here are five marketplace options to help you get started.

Etsy

Etsy is arguably the most well-known online marketplace. Tons of users visit Etsy each day, so it's a great way to connect with clients. However, you must also acquire lots of good reviews before the site promotes your shop, so you may need to be patient and wait to grow a following.

Redbubble

If you design graphics or take photographs, Redbubble is a great way to put your work out there. The platform makes it incredibly easy to upload and print your work. They take care of printing and shipping your products, so it's a hassle-free way to sell.

Amazon Handmade

These days you can buy anything on Amazon, and art is no different. While you must apply to become an artisan on Amazon Handmade, the platform will connect you to a vast buyer audience. Amazon will take a 15% referral fee on every transaction, but it may be worth it!

iCraft

iCraft is a site devoted to buying and selling handmade crafts. While it may see less traffic than Etsy or Amazon Handmade, it could be easier for your goods to stand out on a smaller platform! iCraft promotes themselves as seller-friendly, so their fees are comparatively low!

Artfire

Opening a boutique on Artfire is another excellent way to sell handmade goods. You have to pay to be featured on the platform, but making a small upfront investment may lead you to more profits down the road!
