Cargo Coordinator/Freight Forwarder: Many of us have become aware in recent days of the complex supply chain issues that can affect communities and even entire countries. Supply shortages are front and center in the minds of many. So, more and more people are beginning to understand the great importance around roles such as that of the cargo coordinator (also sometimes known as a “freight forwarder” or “freight agent”). Cargo coordinators keep track of cargo as it comes and goes from site to site, inspect the cargo for any damage, and handle any problems that might come up until the cargo reaches its final destination. Making sure goods get to where they are needed is an incredibly important job, and it is one that is forecasted to have strong growth.
Energy Broker: If you like being the point of contact between interested business parties, then this role may be a good professional fit for your career. Energy brokers are, in essence, intermediaries between energy suppliers and their potential clients. The brokers don’t actually own or distribute energy, and they are not allowed to sell energy directly to the clients. As brokers, they are responsible for presenting the rates of a wholesaler, or supplier, to the probable clientele.
Property/Real Estate/Community Manager: If branding, outreach, and community interaction are more your thing, then this career option is a great path to pursue. Community Managers (which are also sometimes called Property/Real Estate Managers) act as the liaison between an organization and/or property owner and the intended audience. They can act as the voice, tone-setter, and moderator of the brand/property through community support, content distribution, dispute resolution, and digital engagement. This role helps to build brand presence, property options awareness, and trust… and the job responsibilities are often a mix of both online and in-person tasks. This can be a great job for someone who enjoys hybrid work, too!
