This is the second of two associated studies that explore why students selected online or blended learning opportunities, and how schools are meeting students’ interests and needs. The first report provided an indepth review of why students chose an online or blended school, or individual online courses while enrolled in a traditional school. This study explores how schools are meeting these student needs. It details the reasons that Future of School scholarship winners selected online/blended courses, and provides insights from the schools regarding why and how they were able to provide these opportunities to their students. For simplicity, both reports refer to the range of digital learning opportunities, from fully online schools to blended schools to online course, simply as “online/blended learning.”
